Privacy Policy

Radiant Evangelistic Association (“Radiant”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This notice explains how we collect and use personal data across our website, app, and services, and your rights under UK data protection law.

Who we are

Radiant Evangelistic Association is a UK charity (Registered Charity No. 1216942) and is the data controller for the personal data we hold. You can contact us about data protection.

What data we collect

We may collect and process personal data such as:

  • names and contact details;
  • information you provide when you contact us, volunteer, donate, attend events, or engage with our activities;
  • records relating to volunteering or partnership; and
  • where necessary, sensitive information in safeguarding or pastoral contexts.

How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • carry out our charitable purposes;
  • communicate with you;
  • manage volunteering and partnerships;
  • process donations and keep financial records;
  • meet legal and regulatory obligations; and
  • keep people safe through safeguarding processes.

We only use your data where there is a lawful basis under UK GDPR.

Who we share your data with

We may share data with trusted service providers, partners, regulators, or authorities where required, including for safeguarding or legal reasons. We do not sell personal data.

Some data may be transferred outside the UK where appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal requirements.

Your rights

You have rights to:

  • access your data;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • request erasure or restriction in certain circumstances;
  • object to processing; and
  • complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

To exercise your rights, please contact us.

Data security

We take appropriate measures to protect your personal data and keep it secure.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.

The Radiant Business app

This section explains how we handle personal data specifically within the Radiant Business mobile app, in addition to the general terms above.

What the app collects

When you use the app we collect:

  • your email address, used only to sign you in — we send a one-time code to your email and do not store a password;
  • profile details you provide: your display name, your business name (if you choose to enter one), your preferred language, and how you heard about Radiant (including the date of a Radiant event, where relevant);
  • your learning progress — which lessons you have started or completed;
  • the business plan information you enter into the app’s tools and calculators (for example pricing, costs and cash-flow figures, customer notes and risks); and
  • any prayer points you choose to record in the app’s journal.

How we use it

We use this information only to provide the app to you: to sign you in, to save your work and synchronise it across your devices, to personalise the app (for example using your business name in the daily prayer and your plan), and — in aggregate — to understand how people are reached through Radiant’s training. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not make automated decisions that affect you.

How it is stored and who can access it

Your data is held in a secure cloud database provided by our processor, Supabase, on our behalf, and is encrypted in transit. Access is controlled so that you can only read and write your own data. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties other than this hosting provider acting on our instructions, or where required by law.

Optional AI features. Some features are optional and only run when you choose to use them — the AI research and business-name helpers, and the "generate my business plan" feature. When you use one of these, the relevant text you have entered (and, for the business plan, the plan information you have saved) is sent to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), to generate suggestions for you. Google processes this information on our behalf and, under the paid service we use, does not use it to train its models. These features are entirely optional: the app's lessons, tools and plan all work fully without them, and no additional categories of personal data are collected when you use them.

No advertising or tracking

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking across other apps or websites. It does not collect your location. The optional daily reminder is scheduled locally on your own device and sends no information to us.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete my account). This removes your profile, learning progress, business plan and prayer journal. You may also contact us to request deletion.

Children

The app is intended for adult business owners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights, our data-security measures, and the UK GDPR framework described elsewhere in this notice apply equally to data collected through the app.
